Answer: C. Nagarhole National Park (Kabini river), Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve (Moyar and Bhavani rivers) and Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary (Kabini tributaries) all lie in the Cauvery basin. Papikonda National Park is on the Godavari in Andhra Pradesh. So 1, 3 and 4.
Watch for: Students who do not know Papikonda's location guess 'all of the above'.
Why the other options are wrong
- A. Wrong because Papikonda is in the Godavari basin.
- B. Wrong because Nagarhole is also in the Cauvery basin.
- D. Wrong because Papikonda is in the Godavari basin.
